Greetings from AIA

AUTHORS, ILLUSTRATORS, AND ARTISTS,

As we gather for another month of learning, sharing, and growing, we celebrate the
power of stories to bring joy, kindness, and hope to children everywhere. Whether
you are writing your first story, illustrating a new adventure, or simply encouraging
a child to read, you are making a difference.

New members are always welcome! Join us on the first Thursday of each month at
The Center for the Arts, Classroom 3, as we learn, create, inspire, and celebrate each other.

Our May meeting brought exciting, creative ideas for AIA members to continue
working together to promote literacy and children’s literature throughout our
community.

UPCOMING JUNE HIGHLIGHTS

Amanda's Tik Tok Workshop

Amanda will lead a fun and informative session teaching members how to create
engaging Tik Tok videos to help promote our books, literacy events, author visits,
and community outreach programs.

MEMBERS WILL LEARN:
 How to create simple promotional videos
 Tips for using music, cartoons, and transitions
 Ways to showcase books creativity
 How social media can help promote literacy
 Ideas for reaching parents, teachers, and young readers

MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING:
 Cell phones, tablets, or laptops
 Creative ideas and enthusiasm
 Bring a friend who simply loves children’s books, a favorite artist or
illustrator. Or may have a desire to write a children’s book.

Our meetings are designed to encourage creativity, friendship, learning, and
inspiration in a welcoming environment where members can share writing projects,
learn publishing tips, explore illustration ideas, participate in workshops, promote
literacy together, and encourage one another’s creative journey
We believe stories have the power to touch hearts, build imaginations, and make a
difference in the lives of children.
